Thermo Scientific™ HAAKE™ MARS 40/60 Rheometers

A modular, research-grade rheometer platform engineered for accuracy, flexibility, and everyday ease of use. The MARS 40/60 combines a rigid one-piece H-frame for stable, reproducible gaps with a fourth-generation diffusion air bearing, ultra-low-inertia drag-cup motor, and high-resolution optical encoder to measure from ultra-low torques to high shear rates with confidence. A temperature-compensated normal-force sensor (0.01–50 N) enables sensitive tensile/compressive methods such as squeeze flow, tack, and texture analysis. Temperature control spans roughly −150 °C to +600 °C via interchangeable modules and a controlled test chamber, while quick-couple geometries and automatic rotor/module recognition streamline changeovers. In short: precision hardware, wide application range, and a platform that grows with your testing needs.

Thermo Scientific™ HAAKE™ MARS 40/60 Rheometers

The HAAKE MARS 40/60 is a modular, research-grade rheometer platform engineered for accuracy, flexibility, and day-to-day ease of use. Its rigid one-piece H-frame ensures optimal force distribution for reproducible gaps under load, while a fourth-generation diffusion air-bearing, ultra-low-inertia drag-cup motor, and high-resolution optical encoder (≈12 nrad) deliver precise control from ultra-low torques to high shear rates. A temperature-compensated normal-force sensor (0.01–50 N) enables sensitive tensile and compressive measurements, opening advanced methods like squeeze flow, tack, and texture analysis.

Designed around real laboratory workflows, MARS offers push-button rotor release, automatic geometry and module recognition (“Connect Assist”), and a universal temperature platform that swaps between cone-plate, parallel plate, and cylinder geometries in seconds. Plug-and-play temperature control spans roughly −150 °C to 600 °C with Peltier, liquid, electrical, and controlled-test-chamber options, so you can characterize liquids, gels, melts, and solids under true application conditions. HAAKE RheoWin™ software provides guided jobs, raw-data access (including Lissajous plots), multi-instrument multitasking, and secure user management—with TCP/IP data streaming and an integrated web server for remote monitoring.

Whether you work in polymers, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, foods, petrochemicals, coatings, or construction materials, MARS adapts to your application with a comprehensive accessory ecosystem: vane rotors and large-gap cells for particulate slurries, double-gap cylinders for low-viscosity inks, tribology and high-pressure cells (to 600 bar), DMTA clamps, extensional SER tooling, and rheo-optical modules (RheoScope microscopy, Rheonaut FT-IR) for structure–property insights in the same experiment. Discover the MARS factor—future-proof performance, accuracy, and modularity that grows with your testing needs.
